  • Expedition Unimog - With the goal of designing the ultimate all-terrain home on wheels, this is the third in my series of Unimogs. The living quarters include bench seating that converts to a bed, a bathroom, and a kitchen. More views below. (608 parts)
  • Breakdancing Robot - An articulated humanoid robot character designed as a stop motion animation rig, built for breakdancing the 'robot' in dance competitions.
  • RC from Toy Story - This was a fun challenge, and I’m happy with the clarity of this character given the small build size. I went through several design iterations before finalizing this look. Building instructions are posted below.
  • John Deere Tractor - A small build with few parts, designed to recreate the look and solidity of a vehicle that might come in the LEGO City series.
  • KITT - When I was young and following the TV show Knight Rider I tried to create a model of KITT but couldn’t get the model to work to my satisfaction so I put the project aside for many years until windshield element 18972 inspired me to retry.
  • Minifig Scale Unimog U 400 - Inspired by Technic set 8110, I created a smaller version with a working steering mechanism. This model evolved naturally, giving me the sense of discovering what it "wanted" to be. More links below.
  • Spacecraft 1 - This small spacecraft is one in a series I designed after graduating college. It has remained almost entirely unchanged since then. I imagined its what a Lamborghini might look like in the future.
  • Spacecraft 2 - Another spacecraft from the series I produced after graduating from college. This one retains its original form, but I've added more intricate details over the years. It has a broken part in front from a time it fell to the ground.
  • Return of the Last Crusade - A mashup of two of my favorite movie chase scenes: The speeder bike chase in Return of the Jedi and the motorcycle chase in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
  • MO from WALL-E - Built during the pandemic as a companion to the LEGO Ideas WALL-E set by Angus McClain. It was a fun challenge getting the proportions of the eyes to look correct. More views are linked below.
  • Obstacle Avoidant Balancing NXT Bot - A compact, solid robot that balances on two wheels and avoids collisions using an ultrasonic sensor, based on Laurens Valk's balancing program from robotsquare.com.
  • Remote Controlled Droid (Work in progress) - A larger, remote-controlled version of the previous bot, designed with glowing eyes, flashing safety lights, and the ability to make friendly beeping sounds and spin its head on command.
  • Starship - Influenced by miniature models used in classic sci-fi films, this intricately detailed space cruiser is designed as a long haul city in space. Because this is an original design and features random detailing, this was one of my fastest builds.
  • Micro Castle - I discovered plates fit within an IKEA BEGÅVNING 7" glass dome to create a secure base. I then pondered what to display within the vertical space. I decided to make a small medieval tower as an homage to the LEGO Castle sets I grew up with.
  • Motorized Unimog - The second in my Unimog series, this one is motorized with a battery pack, LED lights, an electric motor, and geared power to the rear wheels.
  • Cat Toy - Using power functions, this remote controlled two wheeler is made for entertaining cats. Mounting the wheels at an angle allows it to stay upright.
  • Credit Accumulator NXT Bot - Designed to accumulate virtual funds for purchasing cars in Gran Turismo 5, this bot presses buttons on a PlayStation 3 controller in a timed sequence to restart races in B-Spec Mode continuously.
  • Motion Controlled Camera Rig - A Mindstorms NXT powered rig for creating moving time-lapse photography. Using 3 motors, it has programable controls for pan, tilt, and shutter release.
  • Modern Speedboat - Built on the hull of set 4010: Police Rescue Boat, this model tries to capture the minimalist design of modern speedboats, complete with cupholders and a weighted brick (73090b) under the lounge area so that it sits nicely in the water.
